Sportswave is a live Sport Digital Media that operates in partnership with world leading suppliers of live sports data all over the world, Live score applications and independent sport bloggers. Our mission is to recruit team of sport data journalists across the world and provide them with support during training and coverage processes. Sportswave was found since 2014 and have well trained coverage team across Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Australia covering various sports including; Soccer, Basketball, Handball, Filed and Ice hockey, Cricket, Volleyball and beach Volleyball, Rugby, Badminton and Futsal. We cover matches from top leagues, lower division to amateur games both national and international levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the payment?

Payment varies per countries. Simply per covered match data journalist shall receive:
African countries: 25-50 euro
European countries: 35-100 euro
Asian countries:  35-50 euro
American Countries: 35-80 euro
Australia:  50 euro

When do I get paid?

The payment are done once monthly following matches covered from previous month. Payments be done on 5th, 10th, 20th and 25th depending on date data journalist submitted his/her invoice and working days.

What is the payment mode?

You will receive payment via PayPal, Skrill or direct bank transfer depending on your option.

Is there a working Contract?

No contract provided. It’s a permanent freelancer job. However, data journalists are expected to work with us for many years so long as they adhere coverage work flows and company standards.

How many working hours?

Mostly weekends evening hours. Standards 3 hours per match as you will be required to arrive at venue/stadium at least 1hr prior match kick off time.

How many games a data journalist can cover a month?

This depends on fixture availability per country, trained sport/s and personal schedules. We encourage our team to train various sports to have wide range of coverages. With experience a data journalist can cover in between 8-20 matches a month if have time.

What sports are covered?

This varies per countries. Though Soccer is covered all countries. No worries we will advise the right sports to train for coverage.

Is there any costs to join?

Absolutely NO. Its free starting from application and training. All the training is done online and at applicant convenient time.

Is this a full time job?

No. It’s a part time job. In deed its ongoing job for many years after joining the coverage team so long as adhering coverage standards and work flow.
